World Breastfeeding Week Celebration at MD. Bazar Rural Hospital (BPHC)

As part of the World Breastfeeding Week Celebration, the students of Rampurhat Nursing Institution (RNI) actively participated in a community awareness programme during their posting at MD. Bazar Rural Hospital (BPHC). The event was organized to spread awareness about the vital role of breastfeeding in ensuring the health and well-being of both infants and mothers.

The programme featured an engaging role-play performed by the nursing students, demonstrating the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, the correct breastfeeding position, and proper attachment techniques. Through this interactive presentation, mothers and caregivers learned practical methods to overcome common breastfeeding challenges and provide optimal nutrition to their babies during the first six months of life.

The students also interacted with community members, answered their questions, and emphasized the long-term health benefits of breastfeeding, including stronger immunity, healthy growth, and improved mother-child bonding. Their enthusiastic participation and compassionate approach made the awareness session informative, meaningful, and impactful.

This successful community health initiative reflects Rampurhat Nursing Institution’s commitment to promoting maternal and child health through education, awareness, and service. By empowering families with accurate knowledge and practical guidance, RNI continues to contribute towards building healthier communities and supporting a brighter future for every child.
